Yes, For workers making $8 an hour paying $400 dollars a month for day care how are they to live.
If the goverment does not have day care then the work place should provide free services for it's employees.

Miss America does not serve any purpose in society at all. Only people this is good for is the designers who make rediculas clothes to advertise them, rich schmucky people getting chances to parade thier crap around.

Yes. Yes we can. I think the government should provide health care for people who cannot afford it. I think if the government gives three billion dollars to egypt in military aid, why wouldn't they provide for thier own citizens the essential things that are needed to live. health care is necessary weather you are sick or not sick, weather you get sick a lot, or not get sick at all, that one time you need it if you don't have it, most people go bankrupt. Universal health care should be universal, not just in america but across the world, hospitals should be public and not privatized, they should be mandated by the government like the public schools do, so one doctor cannot charge people what ever price he sees fit, it should be realistic. private health care is the reason health care prices have gone up this much. Private Pharmacists coming out with drugs not administered by the fda, and getting people sicker, and destroying the youth with pain killers. Yes, to Universal Health care. Yes, we can.

Should homosexuals be permitted to serve in the armed forces?

I Am 100 PERCENT AGAINST THE LIFE STYLE THEY LIVE.
As far as gay's serving openly in the military, or having a right to be legally married, I can care less about. They live the life style that they do, I don't agree with it, so what they do with thier personal life further then that I do not care. I would not want my kids to be around them, being taught that it's okay to be gay, I would not care if they are gay or not as long as they too are holding that machine gun and actually shoot.

Should genetic engineering be controlled by law?

Genetic Engineering sounds like something we are used to hearing in sci-fi movies, and is so far fetched but now in 2005 we heard a scientist came out and said we have succesfully cloned a baby. I don't think people have the right to play with peoples lives, give them false hope. A human will never be able to clone another human, that is my opinion but it's supported by more then 90percent of the world. They create an genetic heart, and it fails, they create a genetic lung and it fails, for god's sake they can't even make a simple pill to cure a head ache without the side effect list being 2 pages long and big warning on it, may cause heart attack. People can dream, some act on thier dreams but not knowing what is a dream and what is a dream that can be realized is a pretty fat line. The law should ban genetic engineering, but it's the government that is actually doing this so I think it's highly hypocritical.

Are American Indians being treated fairly in the 1990s?

Some American Indians own casino's and they are rolling around in cadillacs and own hotels and resorts and businesses and have no grudge against the white man any more. While otheres are poor, uneducated and their brothers and sisters addicted to drugs and alcohol  and they have no money to get them to treatment.
I always see Natives under the bridge on my way to school and when ever I have some money I try to give, even though they say why? they'll just go buy booze with it. What if they go get a bite to eat. what if that 3 dollars i gave they have in thier pocket and they get a drink when they are really thirsty. We will never know what they do with the money they get everytime, I don't care If i have money to buy cigaretts and To buy Movies and Music I know I can spare a buck here and there for somebody that doesn't really know what they are doing because the world has turned their back on them and now they are lost. Adoption records should be sealed with the permission of the parent only. If the parent that is giving the child away has to sign at that time wether or not she wants the records to be sealed. once sealed that cannot be changed anymore unless the adopters are willing to search for the parent in case the kid is wanting to meet them. On the other hand I don't think that children should ever be denied the right to meet thier parents. Even if they might not have a chance to create some type of relationship just knowing who means alot. Records should not be sealed because it does not do anybody any good. I think it's selfish of a parent to adopt and then want to in a sense steal that child, like finders keepers. but also if the adopters are rich and the mother is in a poor condition and is trying to take advantage of that is not right either. Finally adoption records should not be sealed because the kid and the parent have the right to know. they have a bond which no one can understand. Even our bond others can't understand. Everyone is different when it comes to this.

Today's media only focuses on their ratings. They just want to report the news they are told to report, not caring to find out wether what they are reporting is true or false. The media plays a very important role in today's society what they report becomes the topic we debate about that whole day. The newspaper however is mostly directed to adults, ones who like to stay up to date with current events. They get thier daily dose of news from the newspaper but that same news gets repeated to them a couple of times through out the day. Tv, Radio and the Web. Im surprised that they are still around, with the many sources that exist today a newspaper seems perimitive. We can never really know what we read or what we hear is true, with all the sources available today we should always check more than one for our self to find out the truth, and even then it's still only as true as you are hearing or reading. Conclusion they should be required but who is going to be the unbiased judge.

I don't think Juvenile's should be tried as adults. Why? First. They are Juvenile's, they are still young and easily influenced by others. Second. It's not fair for these kids to go to jail with adults because they are only gonna graduate from a life of crime, after all they are going to a place where they house hardened criminals. They are gonna come out mad at the world  and in a hurry to make up for the time they lost. They will take shortcuts which will land them back in jail again. This is the sycle that I see in my neighborhood, my friends and peers going in and out of jail. I go visit them in jail and they are so concentrated on coming out and living a good life but, sad to see how quickly this materialistic world consumes them once they come out.
Even for murder I don't think they should be tried as adults because sending them there only makes things worse.

Ted Williams got  15 minutes of fame as fast as he went off the medias attention. I blame the media for all of this, for using someones hardship and mistakes and publicly criticizing a man. The media took advantage of this story just like any other story they make a big deal out of it and only focus on the negativity. However at the same time the same media is responsible for getting him off the streets and actually provided him with the tools needed to start a new life. I know that he will never fully recover and be clean but as long as he gets his life together and at least tries to maintain. Nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes the difference is the ones that learn from it and move one versus the ones that give up and stay down.
